Oscar Estrella Grijalva

Hi Class,

It is with deepest sadness, that I inform you that our classmate Oscar Estrella Grijalva passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his chosen home in Mexico City.  Following his graduation from Nogales High School in 1965, Oscar attended the University of Sonora in Hermosillo, where he received his Law Degree. He married the girl of his dreams, the former Leticia Carrasco. The newlyweds moved to Mexico City where they made their home, and raised their family. Over the course of the next 48 years, Oscar would pursue an active and successful career in the practice of Business, Corporate, and Financial Law.

He is survived by Leticia, his wife of 48 years, his son Luis Lauro, his daughters Daniela, and Edna (Pablo Peralta), and by his grandchildren Emiliano and Paula Peralta. Also surviving are sisters Marcela E. de Iriarte and Gabriela Estrella, and niece Sofia Sagrario Estrella Martinez.
Although Oscar made his life away from his native Nogales, he never forgot his roots and always enjoyed communicating with old friends. 

Oscar prepared his own farewell message for family and friends which is on his memorial card which he had prepared for his final goodbye.
