Roy Wisdom

Roy Wisdom

Roy Dee Wisdom

July 7, 1947 ~ May 2, 2020

Roy Wisdom passed away on Saturday, May 2nd after an accident at his home in Fresno, California.  Roy had battled heart rythmn problems for several years and recently had surgery to improve his medical condition. On Saturday, he worked in the garden as usual, but when he came in the house he tripped, and hit his head on the edge of the table. He passed away later that same night at the family home. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Wisdom, his son Brett Wisdom,  daughter Jennifer Wisdom, and brother Gary Wisdom. He was pre-deceased by his parents Herb and Betty Jo Chapman Wisdom. Roy's mother was from one of the early pioneering families to Santa Cruz County, Arizona.

The Neptune Society of Central California,  1154 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93711 is handling all final arrangements and cremation. Due to the quarantine conditions put in place due to the Covid-19 plandemic, the family has announced that he will be cremated and that plans are underway for a private service and spreading of ashes on the family ranch where he grew up at Pena Blanca, outside of Nogales, Arizona. Roy was a proud graduate and member of the Nogales High School Class of 1966. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.

I have good memories of Roy all the way to grammer school.  My most sincere condolences to his family.  So tragic circumstances make it even harder. My heart and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Roy. I have very fond memories of him. A funny one was when a teacher would seat the class in alphabetical order, Roy usually sat behind me (Wisdom behind Villa) and whatever right or wrong answers I got on a test, Roy usually got the same answers! He was a good friend and my husband Bobby Del Castillo and I send our condolences to his family.

Today I went to say goodbye to my friend. Some Roy's ashes were buried by his wife Sandy and his brother Gary, by his parents, ashes were also scattered by his son Brett in a field by his childhood home and in an area by some corrals where Roy and Gary played as children.

Marcia, thank you so much for sharing Roy's Memorial Service. It's comforting to know that my lifelong friend who I remember fondly is now at eternal rest in the land and with the people he so much loved. God's Blessings to him and his Family.
