Robert H. Huicochea

June 16, 1947 ~ September 17, 2023

Roberto Huicochea, a Proud Business Owner, Butcher, Grocery Store Owner, and Real Estate Agent for over 40 years, passed away on September 17, 2023. He was born on June 16, 1947, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and sadly left this world from his home in Rio Rico, Arizona.

Roberto was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of those around him with his vibrant personality and zest for life. He will always be remembered as the first one on the dance floor, his love for dancing and bringing joy to every gathering. Whether it was grilling delicious food for family and friends or being the coolest uncle to all, Roberto's presence lit up any room he entered.

He was a valued and honored member of the NHS Class of 1966, and he will be deeply missed by all. He never missed any of his class reunions. Roberto cherished his education and the memories created during those formative years.

With a heart full of humor and an outgoing nature, Roberto wanted to be everyone's "Nino." He was not afraid to share his opinions and always spoke his mind. His words were genuine and sincere, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to encounter his wisdom. Roberto's constant joking brought laughter into the lives of countless loved ones.

Aside from his successful career pursuits, Roberto had many hobbies and interests that enriched his life. He loved exploring the world through travel adventures and had a particular fondness for cruises. Casino visits provided excitement in his life while poker nights allowed him to bond with childhood friends.

Roberto had proudly served in the Army Reserve during his lifetime. His dedication to serving his country showcased his admirable character and commitment.

Throughout his life, Roberto achieved many praiseworthy accomplishments. As a hard worker, he labored tirelessly until the very last day of his illustrious career. However, it was above all else that he took immense pride in being a father to his daughters. Their happiness and success were a testament to his love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Roberto will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including his fiance Luz Rodriguez, and daughters Denisse Huicochea, Ivanna Huicochea, and Dazia Brown. He is also survived by his sisters Lourdes Huicochea, Bertha Huicochea, Angela Claussen, Norma Huicochea, and Myrna Chavez.

In this difficult time of saying goodbye to Roberto, it is essential to remember the loved ones who preceded him in death. We honor the memory of Johnny Huicochea, Roberto's brother, and Alicia Arvayo, his sister. May they all find eternal peace in each other's company.

Services will be held to celebrate Roberto's life. Visitation will take place at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales on September 21st from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Rosary will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Then a Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with a Graveside Service at Nogales City Cemetery to follow at 3:15 p.m.

Roberto's departure leaves a void that can never be filled. However, his spirit will live on through the cherished memories he created with those who knew and loved him. In celebrating his life, may we find solace in knowing that Roberto has found eternal peace.

E-Mail received from Marco and Maria Johnson:

"Hello Sergio, we received the sad notification of Bobby's passing. As the eulogy says he would hit the dancing floor on all the reunions! Was a happy honor knowing him!
Marco mentioned last night he would like to attend services, I don't know it it's possible in changing some arrangements for our great grandkids. It's pretty aggressive but these incidents are never planned.
Our deepest sympathy to the class of '66 and entire family!"

Bobby was certainly one of those special people whom everyone called "my friend." He had a vibrant personality that was like a spark plug that always added a spark at just the right moment. He was a happy soul whose mission in life was to spread happiness. You can already feel the loss of an important part of our class... still, he leaves us with many happy memories. May he find eternal rest in perpetual light and the music of the heavens. Bobby always loved travel and now he has gone on the next great adventure. Happy trails until we meet again.
