Michael James Korchmaros

November 30, 1947 - August 22, 2023

It is with deepest sadness that we announce that Michael James Korchmaros passed away at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, following a two-and-a-half-week battle with a respiratory illness of unknown origin. He is survived by his wife Olga, four children: Michael (Petra), Andrew (Myriam), Matthew (Kristy), Crystal (Alex) Alvarez, his brother Andrew, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Mike was our classmate with the Class of 1966. He was a Combat Veteran having served in the U.S. Army Vietnam War as a Green Beret.

Arrangements are being handled by Sensible Cremation and Funerals Services in Tucson, and Martinez Funeral Home in Nogales, Arizona. A Grave Site service will be held on September 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. A small gathering is tentatively planned at his brother's home in Nogales following the service. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
