Leo E. Schwamm, Jr.

Leo E. Schwamm, born June 3, 1948 was a native of Nogales, Arizona.  He graduated from Nogales High School in 1966 and attended the University of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era, and was stationed in Germany.  He passed away after a long illness in Nogales, on July 17, 2001.  He is remembered with love by his family and friends.

Siblings:  Bernadette Moreno and John Schwamm
 
Father: Leo Edmund Schwamm
Mother: Maria Magdalena Donnadieu

Maternal Grandparents:  Augustin Donnadieu (1864-1928) (France) arrived Mexico about 1881 and moved to Nogales about 1891. Augustin and brother, Enrique, established a wholesale grocery business, ranches, and other business interests in Sonora. Hermanos Donnadieu,  one of their businesses located on Calle Elias,  eventually became " La Caverna".  Elisa Quinones (1881-1966) (Mexico) moved with her family to Nogales, Sonora about 1885.
 
Paternal Grandparents: William Edmond Schwamm (Germany) and Ara Lillian Schwamm. The Schwamm's were successful merchants and  long time residents  of Douglas, AZ.
